This year’s Quiet Village is being held Saturday, September 17 in Hasbrouck Park, in the Village of New Paltz, New York from 10AM to 8PM. Featuring 10 performers from the Hudson Valley, Tri-State area, and beyond, the Quiet Village provides a daylong soundscape of ambient music for you to relax to, pause with and enjoy as you go about your day.

The performers at Quiet Village 1.0 are:

Cowboy and Indian (Catskill)

okkoto (New Paltz)

the Beaux Eaux Trio (NJ)

Rothwell and Mariette Papic (NYC)

David Mecionis (NYC)

Oneiromantix (Saugerties)

Nixie Unterwelt (Kerhonkson)

Bob Lukomski (New Paltz)

Andrew Shapiro (Brooklyn)

Edward Ruchalski (Syracuse)

Astatic (Brooklyn)

Hasbrouck Park is located in downtown New Paltz, conveniently near shopping, restaurants and the State University of New York at New Paltz.  The park has an enclosed playground and ample space to relax and picnic, making this a family-friendly event.

The Poné Ensemble for New Music is graciously presenting the Quiet Village in tandem with the Coterminous Collectiv, an Ulster County based consortium of electronic media artists. We are thankful for the support of both organizations. If you would like to be a supporter or volunteer for this year’s event, please email Bob Lukomski at info@quietvillage.us.

Be sure to check back regularly for updates...
